My research is broadly situated in intergroup relations, social cognition, and psychophysiology. I am primarily interested in how close cross-group relationships affect the way knowledge about the self and social outgroups is represented and applied to novel intergroup situations. My psychophysiological research has focused on the measurement of neuroendocrine and autonomic nervous system responses in dyadic paradigms. By combining dyadic, implicit, explicit, psychophysiological, and quantitative methods, I seek to capture the rich nature of intergroup social interactions and incorporate the perspectives of individuals from multiple groups simultaneously.
